My eyes opened to the morning and I felt the first pangs of anxiety attempt to take over my day. I reached for my phone and scrolled through the overnight emails, jumping to the one from my brother first, and what a perfect choice that turned out to be.
He was working late last night when he decided to send over a song he thought I’d like – Nashville Sun by Milton.
I pressed play and within a minute I’d kicked off the covers and was sliding open the patio door to step out into the morning. And then, before I knew it, I was dancing.
Dancing and smiling and allowing the present moment to be just what it was – amazing. I’m leaving for Bali in 7 days and I get to spend this weekend visiting with my sisters and mother. Life is perfect if I just quiet my mind and let it be what it is.
